The Skylarks of Sharon Pennsylvania is a model airplane club that was formed in the early 1960's by a group of individuals dedicated to the sport/hobby/art of model aviation. We are chartered by the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA club #569), which is the governing body of model aviation in the United States, we strictly adhere to their rules and regulations, safety is rule #1! We are listed with the AMA as being a "multi-interest" club, which means that we have members that build and fly more than one type of model such as: radio control, control line, electric and free flight. Our main objective is to participate in the building and flying of various types of models for pure enjoyment and education. While at the same time promoting the sport/hobby/art of model aviation in our community, and have a great time doing it! We are an equal opportunity club and anyone is welcome to join us, although our membership has a 25 member cap. Our flying site is located in Transfer, PA.
